Temperature probe tip, 1.5" Tri-Clamp, 1.38"/35mm probe length

Stainless steel probe body. Tri-Clamp (sometimes called Tri-Clover) probes are normally attached directly to plumbing or existing kettle fittings using a clamp and gasket (not included). The 1.38" (35mm) long probe can be attached directly into an instrument (not standard or full) Tri-Clamp tee without hitting the back wall of the tee. Detachable connector with a spring lock. Cable sold separately. Includes water-resistant/splash-proof silicone temperature probe cap.

Our temperature probes use 3-wire RTD (resistive thermal device) Pt100 sensors instead of 2-wire K-type thermocouples (TC) as they offer greater accuracy over the brewing temperature range. RTDs also remain more accurate over time (less drift which means less re-calibration). To use, connect to a device that supports 3-wire RTD temperature probes such as our Electric Brewery Control Panels. Cable sold separately.

Note that with Tri-Clamp fittings the size refers to the outside diameter of the tubing that it makes a connection for, not the flange diameter (the flat disc part). 

For 1.5" Tri-Clamp fittings the diameter of the outer flange is 1.988" (50.5mm). The 1.5" Tri-Clamp flange works directly with 1" (25mm), 1.33" (33.7mm), or 1.5" (38mm) Tri-Clamp fittings. 1.5" Tri-Clamp probes can be used in 2" Tri-Clamp fittings (or vice versa) with a suitable adapter/reducer (not included).  

Are temperature probe tips interchangeable? 

Yes. Any of our temperature probe tips can be used with any of our temperature probe cables.
